Tofu fried rice is NOT a keeper. Most of it went down the garbage disposal. John and I both ended up having pimento cheese sandwiches instead. Those were fantastic. ;) I didn't have enough soy sauce, so I added more hoisin sauce...not sure if that was part of it or what. Regardless, this is not one I'll be making again.

That's too bad - I've had great tofu fried rice, so I hope that recipe won't turn you off to the dish as a whole.

Nah, I don't think it will. I honestly think it was the lack of soy sauce. Trying to compensate with hoisin sauce was a bad idea...that's all I could taste. Normally I love hoisin sauce, but it was just weird to me with the rice. And I don't think I drained the tofu enough because it didn't really brown when I cooked it, and in the picture in the cookbook it was pretty browned.
